Job Description

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in West Columbia, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting purchasing activities and ensuring accurate financial transactions. Responsibilities: - Process purchase orders and log them accurately into the system. - Maintain and monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment. - Perform data entry for purchasing activities and allocation tracking using Excel. - Create and manage spreadsheets for purchase allocations, utilizing formulas where necessary. - Assist in placing orders and coordinating with vendors to meet supply needs. - Support accounts payable processes by reviewing invoices and ensuring proper documentation. - Collaborate with team members to streamline purchasing workflows and improve efficiency. - Provide technical assistance in Excel and other financial tools to enhance reporting accuracy. - Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures for all purchasing activities. - Communicate effectively with internal teams to address purchasing and inventory challenges. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. - Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work with Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using formulas. - Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation. - Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly. - Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset. - Prior experience in a non-profit or similar organization is a plus.
