Job Description

Youngblood Excavating & Contracting is seeking a highly motivated bookkeeper to join our team. The right candidate will manage the daily activity and financial transactions for one of our divisions as well as assisting the Controller with other duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily cash management activities and cash disbursement processing
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist in the month-end closing process including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Maintain organized filing system for financial documentation
• Maintain and manage fixed asset system as needed
• Ensure accurate coding and classification of financial entries.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.
• Maintain working knowledge of other accounting functions to serve as a backup
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements with outside accounting firm; providing supporting schedules as required (including monthly reporting and analysis)
• Assist with yearly audit
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements:

· Ability to manage multiple task with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

· Construction background preferred

· Experience in cash flow management

· Proficient with MS Word and Excel

· Ability to work and interact well with others

· Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Strong interpersonal skills. Able to collaborate with other co-workers across departments

· Strong ability to learn and retain new procedures and information
