Chemical PlantTechnician Baytown, TX

Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
Pay Range: Starting from $17.00 - $21.50 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities Rail Switching Technician:
- Examines track list to spot, separate, load and/or build railcars for shipment
- Ensures railcars are properly connected and/or are secured by setting the brake
- Separates loaded railcars that will be shipped from those that have been preloaded
- Weighs all inbound and outbound loads and empties to ensure weights do not exceed
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Warehouse Technician: - Helps operate and maintains a piece of industrial equipment such as vacuum trucks, mobile packaging units, trailer transfer units, and roll-off trucks safely and efficiently
- Ensures equipment is in compliance with safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Works to package, unload and transfer materials in containers, if needed
- Works with sumps, drains, trenches, reactors and silos, in potential confined spaces, if needed
- Fills out paperwork and communicates effectively with customer representative
- Safely and efficiently operates forklift and other warehouse machinery
- Safely loads product onto different containers or trailers while ensuring product securement
- Performs a quality control verification by inspecting containers for damage
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Equipment Operator: - Maintain a consistent and constant supply of raw materials into wash line
- Safely operates a forklift and skid steer / front-end loader to move product
- Properly weighs finished product in boxes and places in warehouse
- Completes daily production reports that are required to be filled out throughout the day
- Oversees all wash line equipment, pumps and motors are operating properly throughout shift
- Performs basic housekeeping duties throughout shift to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Completes any other duties assigned
Loading Technician: - Ensures that the vessel is secured and inspected at the loading rack.
- Transferring and handling product according to procedures.
- Checks product / vessel weight to ensure limitations do not exceed.
- Completes required paperwork prior to releasing the vessel.
- Communicates with site leadership, team members and customer contacts.
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Job Qualifications: - Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
