5-10 years inpatient coding only and CDI experience. Please do not submit candidates with only outpatient coding experience.
Epic, 3M encoder experience not required, 5-10 preferred
Most of US uses 3M encoder and Epic for large facilities. Can train but would prefer not to.

Develops, maintains and updates clinical documentation pertaining to patient medical records, physician interactions, reason for visits, illness descriptions, physician recommendations, diagnosis and other relevant medical information.
Analyzes and interprets medical records and clinical documentation to ensure the quality and accuracy of relevant documents.
Reviews medical records and clinical documentation to ensure that documents comply with laws, regulations and other best practices.5-10 years of experience

Is there a possibility for FTE conversion? Very likely.
Will this role require this person to reach out to physicians or is this a true medical records review role? No, this does not require any physician contact. The staff would reach out to the hiring manager for escalation to the physicians.
What systems or platforms does the manager have preference towards? We use Epic with 3M encoder. 5-10 years' experience preferred.
Is the team requiring Epic certified candidates in ClinDoc and/or HIM? We use Epic. It is preferable to have candidates with that knowledge but not required.
For the team, it is more important to have a qualified CDIS who can code and send queries on their own.
