Job Title: Construction Inspector Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Construction Inspector to join our team. The role involves conducting various inspections on construction sites, testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. You will utilize a nuclear gauge for testing and a tablet for documentation. This position requires carrying equipment for testing purposes. Responsibilities + Perform inspections on construction sites to ensure compliance with standards. + Conduct testing of construction materials including soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. + Utilize a nuclear gauge for testing purposes. + Document findings and test results using a tablet. + Carry necessary equipment and materials for testing. Essential Skills + Experience in construction inspection and materials testing. + Good verbal communication skills. + Willingness to learn and adapt. + Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Map reading and mathematical skills are a plus. + ACI certification and NICET certification are advantageous. + Experience with concrete testing and nuclear gauge equipment. Work Environment Work will be conducted at various construction sites, requiring a 40-hour work week with potential night shifts and overtime as weather permits. Typical hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. The dress code includes work boots, jeans, and a button-up shirt. This role involves independent work and daily travel to sites, with the option to collect nuclear gauge equipment before shifts if needed. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wexford, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
