Description Our client, a growing investment management firm in Minneapolis is a Controller. This role involves overseeing critical financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing reporting processes for our funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting and a proactive approach to tackling complex financial tasks. Responsibilities: - Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including detailed partner capital statements. - Coordinate with auditors and fund administrators to ensure timely completion of financial statement reviews and annual audits. - Supervise the reconciliation of bank accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity. - Monitor cash flow and liquidity requirements for financing facilities with high activity levels. - Support tax-related activities during quarterly and annual reporting periods. - Address investor inquiries and assist in periodic reporting to stakeholders. - Utilize advanced tools like Tableau and Microsoft Excel to analyze and present financial data effectively. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field. - 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting or related areas. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. - CPA or CMA certifications are highly preferred. - Extensive knowledge of asset management or private equity fund accounting. - Familiarity with US GAAP and fund administration processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. - Experience with Tableau and alternative investment accounting systems is a plus.
