Description Lisa Cole with Robert Half is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations for a construction company. hands-on, detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, job costing, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring experience in the construction industry and a strong ability to oversee and optimize financial processes. Key Responsibilities: + Lead all day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and financial reporting + Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes + Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and project profitability reports + Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, and project budget tracking + Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations + Collaborate with project managers on budgeting and cost control + Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes and systems + Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and bankers + Assist in forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning + Support executive leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic planning Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based industries + Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and construction industry financial practices + Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems integration + Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
