Essential FunctionsPrepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization.
Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatments.
Update patient health histories and chart treatment progress.
Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
Manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
Support patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and recall systems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control standards.
Prior dental assisting experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree or Dental Assisting certification preferred (not required).
Required: CPR certification, X-ray training/certification.
Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
