Job Description

Sales Director – Nationwide Team Oversight

*Based in Los Angeles. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY*

This role is responsible for leading and developing a nationwide sales team, as well as shaping sales policies and strategies for company services. Success in this position requires effective leadership, training, coaching, and collaboration with regional and branch managers to set and achieve sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new sales strategies, processes, and compensation structures to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage the daily operations of the nationwide sales team, ensuring adherence to policies and achievement of targets.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set annual and quarterly sales goals based on market trends and operational constraints.
  • Establish performance metrics, track progress, and motivate the sales team to reach objectives.
  • Conduct market research, monitor competitor activities, and provide strategic insights.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by proactively reviewing activity and addressing needs.
  • Identify and develop service coverage areas to optimize national customer support.
  • Provide guidance on customer requests and manage key accounts when necessary.
  • Work with marketing and procurement teams to develop branding materials and expand market opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with clients before transferring them to account managers.
  • Maintain professional and ethical interactions while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within sales, overseeing a team of 10+ direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
