The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Director of Quality to lead and oversee the continued development, implementation, and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS). This pivotal leadership role ensures all Hera Technologies products meet the highest standards of quality and customer expectations, while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001:2016 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain AS9100-compliant QMS; manage audits to maintain certification.
  • Drive quality process improvements, inspection procedures, and risk mitigation.
  • Implement quality engineering and statistical methodologies to enhance reliability.
  • Define and manage departmental quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct and lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production and customer teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Manage and respond to customer complaints with technical documentation.
  • Represent the company in quality meetings and during audits with customers.
  • Oversee incoming material inspections and supplier quality assurance.
  • Maintain calibration systems and inspection tool traceability.
  • Develop and execute employee quality training and competency programs.
  • Support and lead 5-S initiatives and ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in quality or manufacturing leadership, including QMS management
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and auditing practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of technical documentation
  • Experience in root cause tools (8D, A3, Apollo) and problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, and statistical analysis tools
  • Hands-on experience with GD&T, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and RCCA
  • Experience with blueprint reading, inspection standards, and metrology tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an aerospace or engineering-related field
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
  • Formal training in internal audits and lean quality systems

Work Authorization & Environment

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical
  • Mix of office and production floor environments (PPE required on floor)
  • Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and computer use
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear required

  • Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (flexible start time; overtime and weekends as needed)
  • Salary Range: $105,000 – $150,000
