Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Child Care Provider to join our team. In this role, you will help build and shape our toddler program by creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for both current and future toddlers. You will work closely with the center director and fellow team members to design meaningful experiences that support each child’s growth and development. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, collaborative by nature, and eager to play a key role in fostering a warm and welcoming community.

Duties

• Work with our curriculum specialist to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children.
• Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued and secure.
• Establish positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom space.
• Communicate regularly with families about their child’s progress, routines, and any need or concerns.
• Uphold all health, safety, and licensing standards, ensuring compliance with Vermont State regulations.
• Collaborate with the center director and team to help shape the culture and mission of the center as it grows.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification [or willingness to obtain upon hire].
• Must pass a criminal background check & fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to spend extended time on the floor engaging with children.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs throughout the day.
• Reliability and professionalism, including punctuality and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or a related field required or;
• Level 3 or Higher on Northern Lights @ CCV Career Ladder.
