As EHS Specialist, you design, manage, and audit all environmental, health, and safety programs within Anton Paar USA. This position reports to the Director of Advanced Technical Services and is based at the US Headquarters in Ashland, VA.
The wage for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually and depends on related experience. Anton Paar USA offers full benefits and a profit sharing contribution to your 401k retirement savings. We offer a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years plus additional bonus opportunities.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs
• Manage the customer sample lifecycle
• Conduct laboratory safety inspections and safety audits
• Manage spill response procedures, coordinate emergency preparedness training for laboratory incidents, and manage fire drills
• Maintain the Safety Manual and related documentation.
• Manage workplace and vehicle accident reporting, coordination with insurance carriers, and manage customer compliance websites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of health and safety or laboratory safety experience in a chemical, analytical, or instrumentation environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing chemical hygiene programs and regulatory compliance.
• Experience conducting hazard assessments and implementing control measures for flammable and toxic chemicals.
