Days: Mon - Fri

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Compensation: $35 to $40 per hour

Additional Benefits: PTO, insurance, 401(k), 5 years of service, Fifteen (15) days or 120 hours per year

A Washington, DC family is seeking a meticulous and experienced Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of their home. The ideal candidate will have exceptional housekeeping and laundry skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive, can-do attitude. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, is trustworthy, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Main Work Duties: 

• Making beds and changing linens
• Dusting and polishing furniture and surfaces
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all flooring
• Laundry duties including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
• Organizing closets, drawers, and household storage areas
• Cleaning and maintaining windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Managing household cleaning supplies and keeping inventory up to date
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, including appliances and cabinetry
• Emptying trash bins and replacing liners
• Spot-cleaning walls, baseboards, and doors
• Caring for high-end materials such as marble, wood, and fine furnishings
• Assisting with deep cleaning and seasonal projects
• Keeping entryways and mudrooms clean and orderly
• Reporting any maintenance concerns or damage promptly

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years working as a housekeeper in a private residence.
• MUST have experience working in a large formal home.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
