**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician** **Job Description** As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment. This includes performing electrical repairs and maintenance of overhead cranes, conveyors, furnaces, generators, and lighting circuits. You will also be tasked with changing out and replacing 480V, AC/DC motors, and troubleshooting circuit breakers, transformers, as well as Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. Additionally, you will interpret blueprints and schematics to perform your duties effectively. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and maintain heavy industrial equipment, including overhead cranes and conveyors. + Perform preventive maintenance on furnaces, generators, and lighting circuits. + Swap out and replace 480V, AC/DC motors. + Troubleshoot circuit breakers and transformers. + Diagnose and repair Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. + Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of electrical experience or possession of a Journeyman Card. + Experience within the steel industry. + Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley or Siemens. + Knowledge of overhead crane operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience troubleshooting CNC equipment is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy comprehensive health insurance coverage at an affordable rate. The company also offers quality and production bonuses, typically around $2,000 per year, and pays overtime at 1.5 times the standard rate after 8 hours or 40 hours worked, with Sundays paid at double time. **Work Environment** The work environment includes a unionized, well-regulated temperature-controlled building with a variety of milling and lathe machines. The facility is well-lit and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness for an industrial setting. Certain areas may be loud, but the environment is considered one of the cleanest machine shops in NW Indiana. The team consists of three electricians, and the dress code includes wearing a uniform, metatarsals, ear plugs, hard hat, and safety glasses. Initially, you will work a day shift for a couple of months, followed by a rotating shift pattern, which includes working five days on, with Saturdays usually worked, and Sundays optional. Shift hours rotate weekly including 1 week on 1st shift 7am-3pm, 1 week on 2nd shift 3pm-11pm, and then 1 week on 3rd shift 11pm-7am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Valparaiso, IN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $76918.40 - $76918.40/yr. medical, dental, 401K and vision. Direct placement with the company.
