Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Move materials using manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
  • Package final products per Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), maintaining accurate logs following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Set-up, operate, and clean production equipment (weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines, and Bagging equipment).
  • Monitor meters, gauges, and displays for process parameters.
  • Maintain accurate production records (operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information).
  • Ensure the final product meets weight tolerance specifications.
  • Use independent judgment for planning, performing, decision-making, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in operations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records and logs; use calibration equipment.
  • Follow all BD and DCM safety policies and procedures.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, and/or warehouse environment.
  • Experience in running filling equipment, assembling, and disassembling machines for cleaning.

Skills & Certifications

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
  • Proficiency in packaging products according to SMP and SOP.
  • Competence in following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Skills in setting up, operating, and cleaning production equipment.
  • Ability to monitor process parameters and maintain accurate production records.
  • Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities in set-up, operations, and processes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and logs.

Eligibilities & qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 10-hour shift; 1-5 lbs. – 70%; 5-25 lbs. – 30%.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
  • Capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.
  • Forklift experience is very helpful.
