Job description In this role, you will lead payroll operations for a multi-state, union, and non-union workforce, ensuring timely and accurate processing of weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls. You will manage a team of payroll administrators, overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while driving process improvements and automation initiatives. Key responsibilities include payroll review and file transmission to ADP, coordination of timekeeping systems, and handling payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments. You will also be responsible for manual check reviews, payroll system upgrades, audits (SOX, internal, external), tax variance resolution, and quarterly reports for Workers' Compensation and Multi-Work Site locations. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations, ensuring seamless transitions while collaborating with HR and accounting teams to maintain accurate records and reconcile discrepancies. You will also oversee compliance with payroll tax laws, supervise your team, provide support in responding to payroll-related inquiries, and coordinate year-end activities with IT for testing new processes and interfaces. Qualifications: + 3+ years of experience as a payroll manager, overseeing payroll for 5,000+ employees + Expertise in multi-state payroll processing + Strong leadership and supervisory experience + Thorough understanding of payroll procedures, labor laws, and tax regulations + Familiarity with ADP (preferred) + Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and foster strong working relationships + Background in system implementations and process improvements + Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills + High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis + Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field + CPP certification preferred Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
