Plant Manager
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to lead our RTE poultry processing facility. In this key role, you’ll oversee all aspects of daily plant operations—from production and maintenance to ensuring that safety, quality, and performance goals are consistently met. Team Leadership & Plant Management
Lead and support plant staff to ensure efficient and safe production.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Collaborate across departments to streamline operations and enhance communication.
Use data and metrics to drive decision-making and performance tracking.
Prioritize maintenance reliability and ensure timely support to all operations.
Help shape the plant’s long-term strategic direction.
Recommend and evaluate capital investments for greater efficiency and safety.
Product Quality & Integrity
Make sure employees understand and follow quality and regulatory guidelines.
Partner with QA and operations to reduce product defects and improve consistency.
Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
Ensure successful audits and maintain high plant standards.
Keep the facility secure and compliant with all internal guidelines.
Workplace Safety
Champion a safety-first mindset and actively participate in safety initiatives.
Collaborate with the Safety Manager and Committee to achieve best-in-class safety performance.
Monitor and promote adherence to core safety procedures and policies.
Sanitation & Housekeeping
Uphold GMP standards and maintain a clean, orderly facility.
Participate in sanitation audits and lead action planning for improvements.
Cost & Budget Oversight
Manage the plant within an approved budget, focusing on staffing, supplies, maintenance, utilities, and capital projects.
People & Culture
Build and lead a strong, motivated team.
Foster a positive culture aligned with our mission, values, and vision.
Support onboarding, employee engagement, and training efforts.
Partner with supervisors and managers to meet staffing and personnel needs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field preferred.
Experience & Qualifications:
At least 10 years of management experience in an RTE poultry processing environment.
Proven leadership skills with a strong understanding of processing equipment, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and food safety practices.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, MRP, and inventory control.
