What You’ll Do

As a Principal Software Engineer at Evolve Security, you’ll take full ownership of building, shaping, and supporting the software that powers our cybersecurity solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will:

• Design, code, and debug production-ready software
• Improve the performance and reliability of existing systems
• Mentor and train other engineers to help them grow
• Maintain, enhance, and modernize our software stack
• Research and recommend new technologies to boost team productivity
• Lead the technical direction and execution of projects
• Investigate and resolve software issues to ensure top-notch performance
• Collaborate regularly with the team—sharing ideas, discussing roadmaps, and solving challenges

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a builder—someone who thrives in a small, fast-moving team and takes end-to-end ownership. Ideal candidates will bring:

• Significant hands-on development experience (this is not an entry-level role)
• A passion for working in a small team where you own the entire lifecycle: development, delivery, maintenance, and customer experience
• Cybersecurity experience (a plus, but not required)
• Experience developing automated attack surface management software (a strong bonus, not required)
• Familiarity using LLM-powered tooling (Cursor, Grok Code, Claude Sonnet, etc.) to work smarter and faster
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (we cannot sponsor visas)
