Our client is seeking a Product Owner with strong experience in enterprise software development , ideally within financial services or capital markets. This role requires someone who can own the backlog, define user stories, and lead Agile delivery across a complex regulatory or operations tech initiative. You'll work closely with engineering, business stakeholders, and compliance teams to ensure features are delivered with precision and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities:Own and manage the product backlog using JIRA
Write user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
Lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives
Partner with engineering teams to deliver prioritized features
Align product roadmap with business and compliance needs
Present updates to cross-functional stakeholders, including tech, ops, and risk
4 8 years of experience as a Product Owner or hybrid PM/PO
Prior experience delivering software products in banking or capital markets
Strong Agile delivery background (Scrum, Kanban)
Proficient in tools like JIRA, Confluence , and backlog management
Able to lead technical teams and translate complex business needs into executable features
Must be based in NYC or tri-state area and available for hybrid work
