Field Safety Advisor | Utility Electric Overhead Distribution

Professional Safety Solutions, LLC is hiring an experienced Safety Professional for a utility electric overhead distribution project.

Our Expectations:

Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe serve in a dual role: where the initial objective is to operate in a consultative capacity by providing expert support, guidance, and motivation to operations management and employees at all levels. In addition, along with management, the Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe are expected to be a hands-on partner in delivering various safety initiatives and programs specifically to develop an excellent safety culture.

Responsibilities:

• Daily documentation and communication of contractor safety progress
• Team coverage
• Incident investigations
• Weekly project and update meetings
• Pre-Con safety support
• Daily documentation of safety observations

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of safety experience in high-voltage utility construction, specifically with electric overhead distribution
• Active CUSP preferred 
• Minimum of an OSHA 30
• Current CPR/First Aid
• Valid Driver’s license 
• Strong and positive communication skills and an understanding of the philosophy of positive safety culture development.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910.269 (Electric Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution) and OSHA 1926 construction standards
• Experience implementing and maintaining site-specific safety plans tailored to substation scopes, including civil, structural, and electrical phases
• Familiarity with energized work procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and minimum approach distances (MAD)
• Ability to conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) , daily safety briefings, and site audits specific to substation environments
• Proficient in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Knowledge of PPE requirements for high-voltage environments (arc flash, FR clothing, etc.)
• Comfortable working with multiple trades (civil, line crews, electrical, testing & commissioning)
• Familiarity with utility owner/operator protocols, including compliance reporting and site access requirements
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead safety meetings and interface with utility clients and contractors
