THE ROLE

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist will have a deep, hands-on experience of SEO best practices, technical optimization and keyword strategy, as well as advanced skills in Google Analytics to monitor, analyze, and improve SEO performance

The SEO Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager and will report on-site to our Lexington, KY HQ.

THE JOB
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies that drive organic traffic, improve rankings, and increase conversions.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Optimize on-page elements including meta tags, content, URL structure, and internal linking
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits and collaborate with developers and the ecommerce team to resolve site issues (crawl errors, page speed, mobile
  • optimization, etc.)
  • Utilize Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to analyze traffic trends, track website performance, analyze user behavior, and identify areas for improvement
  • Track KPIs such as organic traffic, bounce rate, rankings, and conversions; generate actionable insights and monthly reports
  • Stay up to date on SEO and algorithm updates, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Perform regular keyword research and develop a backlink strategy and implementation plan
  • Manage SEO budget

THE SKILLS NEEDED

Experience:
  • 3-5+ years of proven SEO experience in marketing, preferably in an agency or multi-brand environment
  • Advanced -level proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and the Goole Search Console
  • Strong knowledge of SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog)
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture best practices
  • Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopware, etc.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field required
  • Possession of Google Analytics Certification, SEO-related certifications, and/or eCommerce certificates
Skills:
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Advanced knowledge of the latest tools and industry trends related to SEO
  • Familiarity with paid search and how SEO complements broader digital marketing efforts
