Note: One of the few jobs the candidates DOES NOT have to come from investment banking industry.

Candidates must come from a large, enterprise, platform cloud engineering project and very fluent with Python (4 out of 5 Python coding skills)
This job was released last week of March and reopened as the other candidates could not pass technical interviews. The trick is to find very senior candidates with more than 10 years of working in the USA (the older the better) who have worked on cloud projects in the very early stages and very fluent coding with Python. The trick is finding someone who doesn't have a fabricated resume. They want a senior candidate; only send candidates with more than 10 years of working experience. They really want more than 15 years and most of the work has to be in USA. If they have most of their experience in other countries and only 5 years in USA, it will be immediately rejected.

Platform engineering database engineering and production management at Morgan Stanley

Vendor project. Onboarding PoC and upgrades up to release management automation and tooling



The role in question is part of platform delivery squad works onsite in NYC hybrid 3 days a week

The person will have corresponding folks working in Montreal and India. But in NYC it's the only person



S KILLS SET modern cloud-based technologies Kubernetes pipelines automation done in PYTHON programming

Will need to do vendor tool management, installation of the software on prem. And some cloud with firewall set up and working with vendors for SAS connectivity in place. Work with security team to do architecture and the implementation



Tomcat and Apache how secure connections work set up the instances, using tools and frameworks for each. Setting Observability for these applications work with internal tooling. GRAFANA -etc.(see list below in the TECH MATCH) Customize the vendor tools and work with them to find a solution



Manual releases releases and deployments on weekends or off hours. This is automated so not much work on this. May be on call for the releases (will get compensatory time the next week if on call)



Tooling and Automation if they onboard a new tool, they integrated with their internal processes to internal.



Python as scripting must be a 4 on a scale of 1-5



Kubernetes and observability.



They have a lot of instances of elastic search . Set these up in a Kubernetes environment. This is standard in vendor platforms. Reddis and Kafka



INTERVIEWS

Off shore lead will do the first 3 rounds 1-2 rounds are offshore technical rounds.

Final round is on site is technical, no coding test
