Rotates through specialty stations including decontamination and sterilizers and supports perioperative services by preparing instrument sets and core carts. Entry-level role requiring high school diploma/GED and preferably healthcare experience; night shift, on-site at a medical center.
Description
Under the direction and supervision of Sterile Processing Supervisor and/or the Department Manager, the Associate Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the following: assemble clean instruments into specialized sets, package or wrap instruments for sterilization, maintains an inventory of sterile supplies on core carts. Rotates in all specialty stations, including Decontam and Sterilizers.
