Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 5PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $18 / hour 

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, experienced in operating various types of forklifts, and have a strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness. This is a long-term position with opportunities for advancement and growth within a stable and supportive work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Unload inbound containers using forklifts (no manual unloading required).
• Accurately perform put-away of palletized goods into racking systems.
• Pick and stage pallets for outbound shipments based on pick tickets or system instructions.
• Operate various types of forklifts, including Sit-down forklift, Reach truck, and Cherry picker / Order picker
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and storage areas.
• Assist in cycle counts or inventory control activities as needed.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse team leads and supervisors.
• Report any product damage or inventory discrepancies promptly.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on forklift experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication skills in both.
• Excellent attendance record and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
