No relocation allowed. Description : The Division of Technology Services is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and obtaining multiple mission critical applications for the Department of Social Services. The project will support the Agencys data and application services and servers, and work with Agency teams to migrate data into the Agencys Azure tenant. Candidate will be part of a team to deploy, administer, and manage the Agencys Azure solutions including the storage, identity, governance, and computing solutions available with the Azure cloud computing platform. Project must maintain compliance with SC State and Federal architecture and data security requirements and maintain reliable communication between Agency systems and services and DSS partners and service end points. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support for ongoing projects and system support tasks assigned to the SC Department of Social Services Server and Cloud Services Administration unit. This position will work for the manager of that team and the Director of Network Operations and Data Center services, and with the Agency infrastructure, server, and database teams. This position will consult with Agency management, technical, and development teams to design and achieve secure, stable, and responsive systems and services, with a goal of improved system availability and performance for Agency customers, both internal and external. Candidates will work in a large state agency, deploying, maintaining, and securing the cloud storage, MS365, and Azure services supporting critical state and federal programs. Position will work closely with SC DSS staff, the SC Department of Administration, and our Microsoft partners to improve service outcomes and compliance with security and performance requirements. Candidate should have a clear understanding of the Microsoft cloud computing services that include networking, storage, databases, servers, and software in the cloud. Major responsibilities of this position include the following: - Provide technical expertise for ongoing development and support to migrate SC Department of Social Services - file and application storage to cloud storage solution. - Monitor and support SC DSS Agency Azure/cloud storage solutions to identify and resolve performance issues. - with agency employee devices, client/partner endpoints, and the SC data center. - Monitor and assure successful integration of application services hosted at the SC Department of Administrations - Add and remove individuals and groups from the list of authorized users, archiving files, overseeing passwordprotection and other security measures, monitoring usage of shared resources. - Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate theimpact of changes or additions. - Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meetsecurity requirements. - Determine and communicate the implications of cloud storage decisions on subsystems and components and helpdetermine how best to mitigate or take advantage of these implications. - Determine and communicate the requirements and capabilities of Microsofts Azure cloud storage solutions andcomponents within the context of the larger systems, projects, and teams. - Support an architectural framewor Call502-379-4456 Ext 100for more details.
