Job Title: Freelance Graphic Designer - Toy Industry (Entry-Level to Senior)

Location: Point Pleasant, New Jersey, USA - On-site

Contract Type: Full-Time Freelance (2-3 Months), with Possible Extension for Ad-Hoc Projects

WeCool Toys (part of Paladone Group Holdings) is looking for Freelance Graphic Designers at all levels (entry to senior) to join our New Jersey team.

This is a full-time freelance opportunity for 2-3 months, with the potential for occasional ad-hoc projects after the initial period.

The opportunity:

We are seeking full-time freelance graphic designers to support a range of upcoming packaging and product design projects. You'll collaborate closely with our in-house product and marketing teams to bring ideas to life visually from packaging layouts to promotional materials.

This role is project-based (2-3 months), with potential for future as-needed freelance work after that period.

What are key duties of the role?

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience level, your role may include:

Entry-Level Designers:

• Assist with packaging, labels, and product visual
• Support senior designers with file setup, layouts, and mockups.
• Prepare print-ready and digital files.
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and project briefs.

Mid-Level Designers:

• All the above
• Design complete packaging and promotional materials across toy categories.
• Develop 3D mockups and visual prototypes.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing and product teams.
• Help guide junior designers and manage project timelines.

Senior Designers:

•  All the above
• Lead the creative process across multiple product lines.
• Drive concept development and visual direction.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategy and brand alignment.
• Manage and mentor designers, and ensure production-ready execution.

What we need you to bring to the team:

Entry-Level:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio showcasing design skills (academic/freelance accepted).
• Strong grasp of design principles and eagerness to grow.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Licensing experience is a plus.

Mid-Level:

• 3+ years in graphic design, ideally in the toy or consumer goods space.
• Portfolio with packaging, print, and digital media examples.
• Ability to manage projects independently.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools and production processes.
• Collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
• Licensing experience is a plus.

Senior-Level:

• 5+ years of design experience, including packaging, branding, or consumer products.
• Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design tools.
• Proven ability to lead creative projects and teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and visual storytelling.
• Excellent communication and project management.
• Licensing experience is a plus.
